Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Woodfield School

The Safeguarding Team consists of:

  •  Sheree Moss – Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

  •  Kate Marrs-Gant – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

  •  Dave Ferguson – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

  •  Samantha Drury – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

  •  Caroline O’Coy – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

  •  Emma Davies – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Our role is to ensure that all children are safe in school, at home, and within the wider community. We work closely with external agencies, including Social Care and the 0–25 Children’s Service, and regularly attend multi-agency meetings to support children and families.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children means:

  • Protecting children from harm and maltreatment

  • Preventing impairment of children’s health or development

  • Ensuring children grow up in safe, effective, and supportive environments

Parents and carers are welcome to contact the school for support or guidance in accessing services such as Social Care or the 0–25 team. We are committed to helping families access the right support at the right time, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.

Further information, guidance, and advice can be found in our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, available on the school website.
