Our team at Woodfield is comprised of a wide and diverse group of individuals who work closely together for one core purpose – to do the very best we can for our pupils and their families.
We have a large team of energetic and highly skilled teachers, nursery nurses and teaching assistants who between them have considerable experience of working with pupils with special educational needs. Joining us over the lunchtime period is our gradually growing team of Midday Supervisory Assistants who work alongside class staff to help support the pupils to have a positive and enjoyable lunchtime. The day-to-day management of the school is ably supported by our admin and site management staff. To ensure the day starts and ends well for the pupils we maintain good relationships with school transport staff who are responsible for transporting the children to and from school.
The school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is made up of the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Assistant Head (Primary - EYFS, Key Stages 1 and 2 ) and Assistant Head (Secondary - Key Stages 3 and 4 and Post 16) The School Bursar and ICT manager join the SLT for meetings as appropriate. One of our nursery nurses who runs our regular TA reps meetings meets weekly with the Headteacher to provide the invaluable link between the SLT and whole school team. Our newly formed Middle Leadership Team (MLT) is made up of 3 of our senior teachers. Working closely with us and alongside us are our multi-agency and therapy colleagues, volunteers and school governors.
However underpinning all of this is the importance that we place on the relationships we build with families, as it is through these relationships that we can be the complete team that we need to be to enable our pupils to thrive.
